Catholic Care for Children in Zambia is a project of the Zambia Association of Sisterhoods which represents 46 religious institutes with more than 1,450 Sisters. Over 40 care locations and programs are part of the Catholic Care for Children project in Zambia, which began in 2017. The project seeks to improve the well-being of children in Zambia by providing and promoting long-term and positive family or family-like care and protection.
There are thousands of children living in child care facilities nationwide. Evidence indicates that children who are separated from their family have a much greater risk to suffer exploitation and harm.
